Dr. Scott DeBoer is president and chief technology and products officer at Micron Technology.
Scott is responsible for advancing Micron's industry-leading memory and storage roadmap and accelerating innovation to meet customers' rapidly evolving requirements. His organization includes Micron's core global technology, engineering and product development functions, alongside test systems engineering, global quality, corporate strategy, and Micron Ventures. Additionally, he oversees Micron Research Labs, the company's global flagship research hub dedicated to breakthrough memory and compute technologies.
Micron's innovation, technology and products organization (ITP) focuses on delivering differentiated memory and storage solutions of the highest quality by advancing current and emerging memory technologies and integrating them across all markets.
Scott joined Micron in 1995 as a process technology engineer and has served in a variety of technical and managerial positions leading up to his appointment as vice president of Process R&D in 2007, executive vice president of Technology Development in 2017, executive vice president of Technology and Products in 2019, and president and chief technology and products officer in 2026. He holds more than 120 U.S. patents and has authored dozens of technical publications and led the development and delivery of 15 technology nodes, helping Micron translate technology leadership into an increasingly competitive product offering.
Scott currently serves on the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science Advisory Committee (SCAC). He also serves on the board of Idaho Business for Education, and on the governing council of Semiconductor Research Corp's JUMP and nCORE long-term research initiatives.
Scott graduated from Hastings College with a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics. He earned a master's degree in physics and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Iowa State University.
