Micron Included on Forbes Just 100

America's most JUST companies

In the world of industry accolades, it’s good to be 23. We were excited and honored this week to learn that Micron earned the #23 spot on Forbes and JUST Capital’s “Just 100” – the result of an analysis of nearly 1,000 of the nation’s largest publicly-traded companies to determine which have done the best at merging corporate citizenship with business success. Significantly, the Just 100 is a unique ranking in that it is designed to reflect values that the American people think best reflect responsible corporate citizenship. A survey of more than 70,000 people revealed that worker treatment, supporting communities and environmental protection are important factors in what Americans believe make a company just.

Micron was identified as being well aligned with these values, including how employees are treated. This is especially meaningful to all of us at Micron. People, and more importantly, how we treat people, are among the company’s highest priorities. To quote April Arnzen, Micron Senior Vice President of Human Resources, “Micron is built on the strengths of the different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences of our global team. Our success is fueled by the excellence of our team members, and we are passionate about building an environment where team members thrive and inspire each other to bring their best selves every day.”

Another area of note is Micron’s efforts in protecting communities through supply chain initiatives aimed at mitigating unintended impacts around the globe. Specifically, the ranking reflected our work in mitigating the risk that profits from the trade of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining African nations fund violence in the region.

Being recognized for our progress to date fuels our commitment and continued focus on sustainability. Thanks to our dedicated team that made this happen - your hard work continues to be instrumental to our success.
